The solution utilizes the time tested, built on NET, StoreFront eCommerce portal and the AX StoreFront connector, by Ascent Innovations, which provides bi-directional integration to Dynamics AX. With AX StoreFront, customer and sales order information is automatically entered into your Dynamics AX financial system from the customer-facing storefront. Updates made in Dynamics such as Product information, product images, inventory, order and shipping status are automatically available on the customer-facing storefront to provide your online customers with up-to-date information.

By eliminating the time-consuming and sometimes duplicated data input process, the AX StoreFront eCommerce Solution greatly increases the speed of information exchange, resulting in improved customer service efficiency, customer satisfaction and repeat sales.

AX StoreFront provides a wealth of features to help your organization expand your sales channel to include eCommerce, control costs by integration with Dynamics AX and achieve a rapid return on investment.

Features & Functionality include:

• Synchronizations can be real time or performed as a batch, controlled using a parameter.
• StoreFront Images: A set of 10 Images per product can be used to display the item on the storefront. These can be managed and configured from within AX.
• A flag to control whether to synchronize an item or item group between AX and Storefront is setup within the AX inventory master. This flag is helpful in controlling which categories are available for sale on the StoreFront site.

• Items within AX that have optional sizes, colors or configurations (BOM’s) can be pushed to StoreFront allowing customers the ability to select options they want prior to placing an on-line order.
• Based on the configuration selected, the sales price of the combined purchase is calculated using AX functionality and communicated back to the StoreFront user.

• AX standard functionality for trade agreements are interfaced with Storefront.
• Quantity breaks, customer based pricing, time intervals can all be setup in AX and take effect in StoreFront.
• Sale price can be calculated by AX, based on desired Profit Margins.

• Available inventory levels in AX are pushed to StoreFront in real time. Providing the customer with accurate availability information.
• Available Inventory is determined within AX by on-hand inventory less outstanding sales orders.

• Allows Additional documents to be created in AX and makes these documents available on the Storefront.

• Out of box interface allows client to easily determine if customers created in Storefront are mapped to Business relations in AX CRM module or directly into the customer master.
• Edits to customer information can be made in either Storefront or AX and all changes will be synchronized. A flag in AX allows truning off of the two way synchronization.

• When customer creates an order in StoreFront, a sales order will be created with AX.
• If credit card is used for purchase, a prepayment journal entry will be created within AX and settlement will automatically occur.
• Tracking numbers that are input directly into AX using standard AX shipping protocol will also be pushed to the storefront, thereby allowing the client to track the status of their orders.
